Foresters and the Sun – Gallery<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n

At the beginning of July, more than a dozen children with Down Syndrome took part in the “Foresters and the Sun” activity, which was implemented as part of the “Forests to Raise Public Environmental Awareness” project. As part of a one-day excursion, they visited the Visitor Center and the Forest Forest School in Katalinpuszta near the Slovak-Hungarian border.<\/p>\n

After the joint departure from Lev\u00edce “Slnie\u010dka”, a journey of more than an hour to Katalinpuszta was waiting. After the arrival of everyone, the director of the visitor center and forest school, Rita Kemenes, and the project manager of the project for the Hungarian side from Ipoly, Erd\u0151 Zrt, warmly welcomed. Zolt\u00e1n Pint\u00e9r.<\/p>\n

In addition to children and their teachers, the excursion was also attended by forest teachers from Lesy SR, \u0161. p. OZ Levice namely Ing. Peter Gr\u00f3f and Ing. M\u00e1ria Vl\u010d\u00e1kov\u00e1 (Uncle Pe\u0165o and Aunt Maja) and project assistant Ing. Nikoleta Nozdrovick\u00e1.<\/p>\n

The first activity in which the children participated was a “pet show” called animal smoothing plant. Uncle the forester brought with him animals that the children could pet and provided some interesting facts and information about them. Among other things, the children could see the hedgehog, the ferret, the hawk and the eared mouse. The greatest success, however, was the owl that the children could hold on their hands. This was followed by a ride on the “Ant Dani” forest railway and a joint lunch. After lunch, the children, accompanied by teachers and forest teachers, went for a walk on the forest educational trail. Here they could observe the surrounding nature and get to know the landscape. The forester in the Ipe\u013e Forest (Ipoly Erd\u0151 Zrt.) Helped to bring life in the forest closer.<\/p>\n

Thanks to this event, the forest and forestry came to the immediate vicinity of children. The excursion with “Sunflowers” realized within the INTERREG Slovak Republic-Hungary Cooperation Program was very fun and informative for all participants. Thanks to the rich program, children could forget about everyday worries and get to know the forest and animals directly in nature, which they were very happy about. At the end of the meeting, I can say that despite the state borders, we were all united by a love of nature.<\/p>\n
